Who We Are:
The Performance Tools team uses experiment analytics and advanced visualizations to simplify tracking/analyzing product and system performance. Our primary purpose is to make Twitter faster by making performance data gathering and analysis as easy as possible for all of engineering.
What You’ll Do:
• You will play a key role in building a culture of engineering performant systems.
• You’ll work with a variety of teams and tools to tie performance into the fabric of the Twitter development process.
• You’ll use technologies like Scala, Scalding, Hadoop, Finatra, ES6, React, Node, Python, NoSQL, JSON, Thrift, and more as you process and aggregate vast amounts of data into traces and metrics that tell our engineers exactly where to find the most important bottlenecks.

• Working with other teams, building powerful and intuitive tooling, and automating manual processes is second nature to you.
You Will Have Experience With:
• Profilers and performance tuning.
• Assessing requirements and building customer-focused tools.
• Working on very large scale distributed systems.
• Defining and analyzing application and system metrics.
• Knowledge of JavaScript, Scala, and Hadoop is preferred
• Basic knowledge of statistics and data analytics would be nice.
