We are seeking a Commissioning Editor to help grow the Secondary Education Custom Publishing list (Flexibooks). This is a varied, part-time 3 days per week, hands-on role with great opportunity for career development.
We are looking for someone who has experience in developing and producing Secondary education products, and preferably familiarity with custom publishing (although not essential). You will be a confident negotiator, a diplomatic project leader, and will act as the champion for your products both internally and externally, demonstrating a passion for what you do. You will bring business acumen, market understanding, and plenty of energy and fresh ideas to the role.
Key qualifications and/or experience include:
• Relevant undergraduate degree
• Good knowledge and proficiency using different types of computer systems and software, especially Microsoft Word and Adobe Acrobat
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Excellent organisational skills and an ability to prioritise conflicting demands
• Highly effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of the Australian educational system
