SUMMARY
Hulu’s Data and Metrics team is seeking an Associate Technical Program Manager who will be an exceptional addition to our growing team. You will be responsible for driving and guiding Agile team execution, monitoring and communicating progress, and ensuring proper definition of technical requirements for projects and features. You'll work hand-in-hand with the developers and prioritize tasks using an agile approach. In addition, you’ll be interacting with the various other technical and product teams at Hulu, gathering technical requirements, learning about their system pain points, and communicating on roadmap status. Above all else, you are expected to manage the inevitable change over the lifecycle of a project; lead with vision, plan with foresight, execute with precision, and handle change with grace.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
• Act as scrum-master, running sprint planning meetings, retrospectives, tracking burn-downs, etc Drive agile development methodologies and guide the development teams through successful execution of sprints
• Facilitate refinement of the Data and Metrics team backlogs
• Run cross-functional team meetings efficiently and connect the dots to anticipate metrics and reporting needs Work with engineering, business stakeholders and product to translate specifications to metrics/reporting requirements resulting in comprehensive execution plans
• Support the Program Management team in driving project schedules and deliverables to completion
WHAT TO BRING
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, degree in a relevant technical field, or equivalent relevant experience
• 1+ years of experience in managing Agile software development using Jira or similar tools
• Strong analytical skills and passionate about answering questions with data
• Ability to multi-task and manage tasks with varying priorities
• Excellent written and oral communication skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Comfortable leading discussions pertaining to relational databases (MSSQL, MySQL) and ETL processing
• Experience and good understanding of big data platform technologies - Hadoop, Presto, Hive - and data visualization tools (Tableau)
