Finance Manager, FP&A SPT Networks
Description:
Sony Pictures Television, Networks Finance Division, is seeking a Finance Manager for its Culver City office. This position is accountable for all aspects of FP&A responsibilities for SPT Networks (Domestic) businesses including Crackle (premium digital networks www.Crackle.com ), U.S. TV Networks (Sony Movies Channel, Cine Sony and getTV), and several other digital businesses (for example, games publishing and technology shared services) supporting SPT Networks.
We’re looking for an Excel-savvy manager who can demonstrate strong financial modeling & analytical skills and has great attention to detail under competing deadlines. The person would strive in creating and reviewing financial analysis that merges monthly actuals with meaningful projections and presenting the report to management. The role will work hand-in-hand with the accounting team and operations management as well as the home office finance consolidation team. This position reports to the Vice President of Finance of SPT Networks.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage and prepare annual budget, quarterly forecasts, and mid-range plans
• Prepare and monitor closely original productions ultimate amortization schedules and work closely with all sales distribution operations and finance teams.
• Key support in new original productions greenlight process.
• Calculate and analyze quarterly sales commissions.
• Work together with the accounting team on monthly variance explanations.
• Prepare ad hoc financial analysis.
• Supervisor Senior Financial Analyst(s) and prioritize deliverables
• Support in new business plan evaluations and related analysis
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with operations and corporate management
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in accounting or business. MBA preferred.
• 5+ years related experience including at least 2 years of managerial experience in related industries.
• Strongly proficiency in MS Excel a must. Ability to work with high volume of data from multiple sources
• Proficient in MS PowerPoint and Word.
• SAP experience required.

• Strong understanding of U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Strong communication skills especially with non-Finance individuals.
