Responsibilities
The Broadcast Operations Supervisor will be responsible for training Lead Operator functions for all shifts in the 24/7 operations center. This supervisor will be responsible for ensuring a quality on air presentation in addition to leading personnel training for the Golf Channel networks. The ideal candidate will be technically inclined with a comprehensive understanding of and the ability to operate broadcast equipment on both National and International levels.
Responsibilities
Provide direct oversight for Network Operators
Communicate workflows for all shifts to ensure network accuracy and distribution
Operate as Network Coordinator for all LIVE events and its requirements for on air execution
Troubleshoot VizRT, Close caption Swift TX, Network Operations Portal, Omneon Server systems and Florical database management
Responsible for communicating and executing programming and production initiatives
Lead network operators in monitoring the quality of outgoing signals and adjust equipment as necessary
Develop comprehensive training plans for all staff Broadcast Operations Center services
Evaluate and deliver quarterly, mid-year and final review feedback on all Network and Lead Operators
Provide coverage for staff vacancies including shift break and vacations as needed.
Additional responsibilities assigned as necessary
Qualifications/Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
5 year minimum experience in Domestic and International Broadcast Operations
1 year minimum experience in LIVE event coordination
College Degree in related field (Communication, Broadcasting) or equivalent experience
Experience with non-linear editing systems and Microsoft office suite
Familiarity with Omneon, Asset Collector and supporting ingest operations
Understanding of On air operations including Evertz switching
Complete knowledge of Domestic and International network delivery
Flexible schedule nights, weekends, and holidays
Working knowledge and understanding of all operating systems in Master Control
