Role Purpose
The Manager of Finance for NBC Broadcasting will focus primarily on financial planning, analysis, reporting, and accounting related to Affiliate Relations and other shared services. Particular emphasis will be placed on (a) Retransmission Revenue recognition, data management, & deal analysis (b) management of Affiliate billings & collections and the financial analyst supporting this process, and (c) expense control and recording related to Affiliate Relations, Affiliate Marketing, Network Operations, Program/Ad Standards, and Broadcasting HQ. She/he will also manage corporate deadlines and submissions and act as the gatekeeper for supporting financial data, driving reporting excellence through new and existing systems.
Responsibilities
Facilitate the Retransmission Revenue process by interpreting affiliation contracts, ensuring accurate revenue recognition, partnering with affiliates to execute timely billings & collections, and maintaining affiliate data
Support the Finance Director & CFO with analysis related to past, current, & future affiliate reverse compensation deals
Manage the Financial Analyst supporting the billings & collections, revenue recognition, & financial pacing/estimate processes
Partner with the Affiliate Relations, Affiliate Marketing, Network Operations, Program/Ad Standards, and Broadcasting HQ shared services departments to manage and forecast departmental spend
Work closely with the various business segments and services in Broadcasting to communicate and execute the financial priorities for the division
Assist in the monthly and quarterly close processes, including preparing account reconciliations and posting closing journal entries
Assist in the consolidation of Budgets, Estimates, and monthly pacing to Corporate Finance
Foster relationships with peers in operating functions and other matrix finance teams
Complete ad hoc reporting requests, analysis and special projects

Qualifications/Requirements
Basic Qualifications
Bachelors Degree in finance, accounting or similar field
Minimum of 2-4 Years of experience in Finance and Accounting
