AEG Live, the live-entertainment division of Los Angeles-based AEG, is dedicated to all aspects of live contemporary music performance: touring, one-offs, sponsorship, festivals, and special events with seventeen+ regional offices and over thirty-seven-state-of the-art venues. AEG Live is also the largest producer of music festivals in North America from the critically acclaimed Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival to Stagecoach Country Music Festival and New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival.
AEG Live / Goldenvoice are seeing an experience design manager to be part of the festival production team.This role is responsible for drafting festival blue prints and work flow from conceptual phase to implementation at the events. The Design Production Manager will work closely with the Festival Architect and other realted departments to ensure that everyones need was met and overall festival design reflects those needs.
Essential Duties:
• Design project plans for festivals using CAD software. Work with Festival Architect on festical design layout and map.
• Work with other departments on logistics for production resources. Ensure that project design meets the needs of all departments. Work with Festival Architect streamline design to meet everyones collective needs.
• Design and execute vendor installations at the events. Work closely with vendors to make sure all event needs are met.
• Support needs of production staff. Work with Production Manager to advance show needs and meet appropriate deadlines.
• Project manage show builds. Ensure that everything runs smoothly, on budget and meets project deadlines.
Required Qualifications (Job Knowledge, Skills, and Education):
1. A minimum education level of: Bachelor of Arts/Sciences Degree (4-year)
2. Years of related work experience: 3 – 5 years
3. Excellent written, verbal and listening communication skills
4. Stong comuter skills with proficiency in CAD programming.
5. Ability to multi task and handle numerous requests at once.
6. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
7. Must be able to travel to festival locations and spend long periods of time on site
8. Must be able to work long hours including nights, weekends and some holidays.
