The main purpose of this position is to provide end user support for the location. This will include setting up, maintaining, and supporting the IT infrastructure. This will include both internal process improvement tasks as well as other technical support responsibilities.
Job Duties
1. Supporting end users at Gingerbread Shed. Helping people with issues that arise from an IT standpoint, anything software related, Google drive, Google apps, hardware, laptops, monitors, etc. Receive requests through the online helpdesk system, which are delegated out or self-assigned. Working on accounts on computer, software issues on local machines, work with users, fixing issues with hardware
2. Researching new solutions for company. Starting with discovery between departments, making sure solutions are actually going to work for the needs, performing a needs analysis, and receiving feedback from departments. Solutions for company wide deployment, user management solution for specific departments. This typically includes researching online, setting up meetings with vendors and getting quotes, gathering all information and presenting to manager for final decision.
3. Ad hoc research for projects. Typically not large projects or problems related to user issue, but related items that come up. Provided an outline for needs, meeting with manager to outline everything, and ensure proposal aligns with budget given.
4. Documentation for services IT provides, such as documentation for conference room equipment, any new processes or systems, or how to’s for the system. Create the general idea or outline for what to write up and receive feedback from users.
5. Other duties as assigned such as organizing equipment, or emergency or maintenance that would require off shift work.
Required Qualifications
1. A Bachelor of Arts/Sciences Degree in Business or Computer Information Systems
2. 1-2 years years of related work experience
3. A general understanding of computer operating systems
4. Windows and Mac experience
5. Communication skills
6. Strong troubleshooting skills
7. Experience with various hardware
Preferred Qualifications
1. Experience managing hardware and software
