The Manager Travel ensures AEG travelers receive exceptional and efficient services by managing a user-friendly booking process and travel management platform. The incumbent oversees partnerships with hotels, airlines, and rental services to ensure best pricing and bottom-line results, as well as manage the overall travel policy and best practices to limit all service interruptions to AEG and its travelers.
Job Duties:
• Manage and continue development of AEG's travel management programs
• Manage reports and analyses in support of travel management strategies
• Oversee, maintain and administer AEG’s travel policy
• Manage relationships with hotel, airline, rental car, and travel management company to secure the best deals for both AEG and traveler.
• Maintain online booking tool and communications to streamline travel arrangement and communications
• Monitor vendor/partner performance and assess to identify service enhancements
• Actively forge and develop effective working relationships and compliance with executives and department heads
• Manage and build upon existing corporate client partnerships to ensure AEG travelers receive exceptional customer service with limited interruptions
Required Qualifications (Job Knowledge, Skills, and Education):
• A minimum education level of: Bachelor of Arts/Sciences Degree (4-year) in Travel Management, Hospitality and/or related studies
• Minimum of 5 years’ business experience and five years in corporate travel management role managing mid to large travel spend
• Experience with Global Distribution Systems (GDS) strongly preferred (Airline & Travel Agency reservation systems)
• Experience with American Express Travel and Concur or related systems
• Demonstrated knowledge of the latest trends in travel management and technology
• Demonstrated experience in corporate card programs, global travel management services and travel negotiations
• Created and maintained requirements, documentation and standard operating procedures around travel data processes
• Excellent supplier and partner communication and relationship skills. A relationship manager with outstanding interpersonal skills and works well with interdisciplinary experts inside and outside the company
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint); and ability to learn required business systems
• High ethics, integrity and confidentiality consistent with the position
• Excellent oral, active listening, written, interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
• Ability to work well under pressure
• Organized and accountable
• Independent; yet collaborative
