The objective of the Director of Professional Learning is to represent and promote the academic integrity of Math Solutions' work in order to provide specialized support to our internal sales and implementation teams, as well as to schools and districts across the nation. The Director of Professional Learning will exemplify sound educational pedagogy and familiarity with the K-12 educational market. Skills include possessing deep content knowledge, understanding effective teaching and learning standards and practices, and having the experience and expertise to implement system-wide school improvement.
Capacity Building
• Manage a highly qualified service delivery
• Build team and mentor consultants, Professional learning Specialists, and Project Managers through a professional learning pathway including development of skills, content and pedagogical knowledge, and instructional practices; modeling; providing reflective and purposeful feedback; and monitoring professional growth in partnership with Director of Recruiting and Consultant Development to mentor Monitor professional learning reporting tools and surveys and provide feedback as needed
• Prepare and support the consultant team to deliver high quality services
Implementation Planning and Support:
• Scope and plan projects, including goal development, progress monitoring, and implementation milestones and timelines in partnership with Director of Professional Services (DPS) and Manager of Professional Services(MPS), as appropriate
• Work with Content, Sales, and Services teams to establish clearly-defined processes, procedures, protocols for successful implementations
• Collaborate with Content Development team to customize content, services, and tools specific to school/district needs
• Provide professional learning support to consultants, Project Managers, and Project Leads, to ensure consultant quality and high-level service delivery
• Monitor and support the use of appropriate standardized resources and tools to support service delivery and district communication
• Ensure integrity of organizational work and brand is maintained
• Advise on consultant assignments, matching services with consultant expertise
• Provide guidance, mentoring and support related to specialized content, procedures, and protocols to Director of Professional Services (DPS) and Manager of Professional Services (MPS) , as needed
• Attend project implementation and planning meetings, as appropriate
• Provide on-site consultation and assistance, as needed
• Use technology to manage time and resources to streamline implementation/planning processes and communications
• Deliver approximately 24 days of billable service within a calendar year
Sales Support
• Attend an contribute to pre-sales meetings and conversations as appropriate
• Collaborate with sales team and aligned specialists to identify and craft service solutions to drive service revenue
• Participate in pre-sales meetings with key decision makers, as appropriate
• Collaborate with sales team to ensure product and service upsell strategies are integrated into service delivery
• Present at local and national events, as appropriate
• Contribute to the writing of RFPs regarding specialized content and service offerings, as needed
Communication
• Participate, (along with the aligned Director of Professional Services (DPS) and Manager of Professional Services (MPS) as appropriate), to monitor implementation and service delivery fidelity and progress toward identified goals through scheduled implementation/planning calls (internal and external)
• Foster ongoing review of customer satisfaction through proactive customer contact, discussion, and evaluations.
• Provide weekly/monthly updates to Sr Director Math Solutions Professional Learning to report successes, challenges, needs, and recommendations
• Ensure consultants understand and can communicate results to promote effective use of products and assessments and provide recommendations for improved results
• Maintain ongoing communication with internal teams (Operations, Content Development Team, PD Team, Sales team, consultants, etc.)
• Collaborate with partners in multi-organizational implementations and meetings, as appropriate
Development
• Make recommendations for specialized tools, documents, content, and materials to Sr Director, Math Solutions Professional Learning and Content Development Team
• Partner with Content Development Team to develop specialized content, tools, protocols, resources as needed
• Stay current with educational issues, pedagogy, and trends
• Insure implementations and projects have a defined plan including goals for the services
Requirements
• Minimum 4 year college degree
• A minimum of 5 years teaching experience
• A minimum of 3 years mentoring and/or coaching teachers or leaders
• Experience building and managing a team
• Prior experience with Math Solutions professional learning preferred
• Demonstrate a professional, cross-organizational, team-oriented attitude

• Demonstrate excellent organizational skills to simultaneously manage a variety of strategic initiatives

• Create and deliver high-level specialized presentations as needed
• Basic understanding of school district technology environments and product deployment
• Significant travel with overnight stays
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds in order to carry product and presentation materials
• Acceptable driving record
