UPI owns and operates direct theatrical marketing and distribution of feature films in many locations around the globe including Austria, Australia, France, Germany, Italy, Korea, Mexico, Netherlands, Russia, Spain, Switzerland and UK & Eire. In other territories UPI market and distribute movies through its JV offices, as well as in select territories, licensees who are contracted to distribute on UPI's behalf.
Responsibilities
Job Title: Sales Co-ordinator
Reporting to: Senior Booker
Business: Universal Pictures International France
Location: Paris
The Sales Co-ordinator actively sells all film releases to independent exhibition clients, maintaining optimum playability in cinemas and maximising box office potential whilst providing crucial administrative support for the French Sales team.
Qualifications/Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
• Cultivate and nurture long-lasting trading relationships with a selection of key new and existing small independent exhibition partners
• Sell all films to a selection of exhibition clients, actively pitching (with calls, emails, meetings, presentations) to secure bookings then further negotiating to guarantee optimum playability in cinema
• Liaise with Finance support team in all Box Office receipt queries relating to own clients
• Provide accurate and pro-active admin support to the French Sales team, identifying and quickly responding to changing requirements and priorities
• Manage the weekly box office downloads, checking and correcting any discrepancies and correlating final numbers for sign off with the Sales Manager
• Maintain market release dates for all films in Universal Box Office system (Theatrical Release Schedule) and externally to Com Score / Rentrak / CBO
• Organise exhibitor screenings & feedback, plus events when required to do so
• Create the right format (PowerPoint/Keynote) for some formal Business sales/distribution presentations for key stakeholders, local or from the Head Office
Experience/Skills/Requirements:
• A flair for sales and the desire to pursue a sales career
• Solid office and administration experience
• The ability to create strong client relationships that can survive the rigours of weekly negotiations
• Some understanding of the specifics of film distribution
• Good communications skills both written and oral
• Good interpersonal skills, ability to work within a team
• Good attention to detail, coupled with accuracy and numeracy skills
• Enthusiasm and flexibility to cope with ever-changing demands from one release to the next
• Ability to apply initiative when required, work well within pressured timeframe and a fast-paced environment
• Proactive, shows initiative.
• Keen interest in film and cinema
• English fluent (written and oral)
