DESCRIPTION:
Stephen Colbert took over as the host of The Late Show on Tuesday, Sept. 8, 2015. Colbert is known for his work as a television host, writer, actor, producer, and best known for his charity work teaching English as a second language on Tunisian date farms. Prior to joining the CBS family and being officially adopted by the network president, Les Moonves, Colbert helmed "The Colbert Report" which aired nearly 1,500 episodes and required Stephen to wear nearly 1,500 different neckties. The program received two Peabody Awards, two Grammy Awards, and several unwelcomed shoulder massages. "The Colbert Report" won two Emmys for Outstanding Variety Series in 2013 and 2014, both of which appear to have been lost in the move.
As the Production Manager you will work with Producers and the Production Management Team to oversee all aspects of production including but not limited to logistics, travel, and budgeting for The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.
Responsibilities:
• Interface with Producers and the Production Management Team to ensure flawless production from concept to completion
• Oversee field shoots and remotes; obtain appropriate filming and location permits, hire crews, coordinate/oversee travel and logistics, generate call sheet & schedule, source/ rent equipment, and manage all logistics on site.
• Create Field Shoot budgets, and track all costs
• Supervise shoots at the studio; disseminate information, liaise with producers and crew, and manage the schedule
• Comply with Legal protocols, File Child Labor Work Permits, Liaise with Risk Management, and track Insurance needs
QUALIFICATIONS:
• 4+ years experience as Production Manager; media expereince required; television and comedy strongly preferred
• Management experience overseeing Production Teams including Coordinators, Associate Producers, Production Assistants, Location Crews and Studio Facility
• High proficiency budgeting, tracking costs, and generating POs and production reports
• Ability to prioritize various show needs and thrive in a fast paced, ever changing environment
• Ability to Liaise with staff and crew while keeping a good disposition
