The Bell Security Centre of Excellence (SCoE), part of Network Operations, delivers a state-of-the-art security framework that enhances Bell’s internal networks and improves Managed Services offerings for BBM customers, both governmental and commercial.
The team is involved in providing various security services through a number of advanced technology platforms, including the Commercial Security Operations Centre (SOC) & the Governmental SOC, both in Ottawa, as well as the Montreal Security Operations Centre
Bell’s SCoE is seeking a highly motivated and qualified individual to assume the role of Senior Advisor, Cost Analysis and Planning. In this role, you will report to the Senior Manager, Strategy and Planning, and you will provide support to other Senior Managers in the team, as well as its Director.
Furthermore, you will closely partner with Corporate & BBM Finance planning & reporting primes on monthly/quarterly & YEE forecasts and results, as well as team with various other functions as required, such as Bell IT Program Management, Corporate Procurement, PMO, CSAM & Vendor/Asset Management teams, to assist in meeting & furthering Bell’s business goals.
This position offers the opportunity to:
• Broaden your scope of knowledge of Bell Canada’s Network Operations, Managed Services business offerings & BBM customers.
• Learn about new products and services as well as emerging technologies while helping influence financial and business decisions;
• Interface extensively with various groups and levels of management;
• Provide data and financial analysis to optimize the success of the business.
• Provide financial analysis and support as well as guidance on any accounting issues or classification.
The successful candidate will be responsible and accountable for the following:
• Developing/forecasting, managing & tracking monthly/quarterly/annual operational expenditure budgets for the SCoE in 3 main areas of cost: labour, 3rd party vendors & consultants. This will include detailed analysis & reporting on variances from forecasts associated with headcount churn & vendor cost timing, etc. In particular, in cooperation with relevant financial primes, supporting the Director-level MOR reporting process with a strong focus on headcount forecasting & variance analysis.
• Managing SG+A budget for the business unit, including allocating funds to SCoE team leads to support their staff training plans, & tracking actuals/variances of same.
• Contributing to developing/forecasting, managing & tracking capital expenditure budgets for the SCoE, supporting the Network Products group in this.
• Tracking SCoE customer account P+L’s by comparing LOE to associated revenue streams.
• Manage multiple priorities and demands originating from a diverse group of customers located throughout the SCoE and related organizations and develop strong working relationships throughout the organization.
• Manage special project requests and provide overall financial support to the Operational team.
• Recommend and implement process improvements.

Preferred qualifications / Competencies:
• Broad understanding of financial and management accounting concepts
• General understanding of Bell’s overall financial tools, data flows & relationships
• Strong background in Operations and/or Finance
• Commerce or Business degree is considered an asset
• Good knowledge of SAP
Bilingualism is an asset (English and French)
