Responsibilities
Job Duties
Assist with full scope of production including research, booking and interviewing
Field produce
Gather visual elements for story segments
Coordinate internal and external resources as assigned by the assignment desk, producers, senior producers, etc.
Conduct original research and compile existing research from files and tapes on MSNBC show guest and topics
Prepare news briefing material daily for ANCHOR and Producers
Assist in production of live MSNBC broadcast – focusing on content centered around politics and foreign policy
Assist with social media
Work with producers to conduct research, book guests and coordinate production for Nightly News and Today Show
Assist in breaking news situations
Qualifications/Requirements
Basic Qualifications
Must have at least three years editorial production experience at the network or cable level
Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Political Science or a related field
