Responsibilities
The Regional Director will be expected to be the expert on the local golf economy, which includes detailed knowledge of the golf courses, golf marketing outlets, market leaders, decision makers, macroeconomic issues and key competitors. The Director will use this detailed knowledge, under the assistance of his/her Regional team to maximize the key performance metrics of the market. These metrics include: # of Golf Course Clients & Overall Penetration, Course Tool Set Utilization, Tee Time Utilization rates, and Local Customer (golfers) levels.
Job Duties
Perform periodic performance reviews to determine employee eligibility for, among other things, merit increases, bonuses and promotional and transfer opportunities
Interview, evaluate, hire, lay-off, promote and reward employees and/or applicants or effectively recommend such actions
Provide feedback, coaching and disciplinary action (up to and including termination or discharge of employment) to employees, or effectively recommend such actions, to help improve employee performance
Resolve and adjust employee concerns and grievances
Qualifications/Requirements
Basic Qualifications
College degree required; computer/internet sales expertise preferred
Background in golf industry with management experience required
8+ years of relevant work experience with formal sales training required
Sales development and/or strategy experience a plus
Online distribution experience a plus
