Responsibilities
Reporting to the Director of Integrated Marketing & Network Partnerships, and supporting two Managers, the Marketing Specialist will help market and increase sales for NBC News & MSNBC platforms, including On-Air, Digital and Social platforms. The candidate will work with key NBC News & MSNBC sales, production and traffic teams to develop, market, execute and manage high-profile, integrated sponsorship campaigns.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
Work with Managers/Directors in creating, developing and managing, the portfolio of sales materials
Create sponsorship decks and customized client decks
Collaborate with sales, marketing, editorial and research teams to develop impactful marketing solutions for partners and key initiatives
Develop collateral materials to position NBC News & MSNBC sponsorship concepts & platforms to agencies and advertisers
Assist in the development of campaign case studies and wrap-up reports. Assist in identifying opportunities and challenges for future partnerships.
Coordinate and collaborate with clients, marketing, production, technology development, creative, editorial, legal, and product teams to execute sponsorships
Develop holistic sales packages, across television, digital and social platforms
Manage the approval and fulfillment process for sponsorships to ensure quality control and timely executions
Manage sponsorship tracking documents to ensure that the team is aware of inventory and asset availability
Work with Research to secure advertiser/category specific data for inclusion in proposals
Administrative responsibilities as needed including budget management
Qualifications/Requirements
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree
3+ years of experience at an agency, media company, sales organization, where the individual was responsible for presentation, creative and promotion development

Desired Characteristics
Familiarity with News editorial processes
Experience or interest in news, politics, current events and news marketing
Strong interpersonal skills with internal and external clients
Ability to develop strong relationships with management and editorial teams
Excellent writing skills for internal and external communication
Strong organizational skills – ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Attention to detail, excellent comprehension
Understanding of presentation development—format, design
Experience working with brand advertising and marketing
Familiarity with the development and execution of sponsorships and promotions
Knowledge of media marketing, the sales process and media in general
Thorough knowledge of Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Adobe Photoshop etc. and presentation proficiencies
Experience with the creative development process with key stakeholders (sales, marketing, editorial)
Event planning experience a plus
Familiarity with the standard syndicated analytics tools (Nielsen, Ipsos Affluent Survey, Erdos & Morgan, Omniture, @Plan, comScore, etc.) and ability to derive insights from the data
