The Finance team supports the operational effectiveness of the company. The team is involved in analyzing financial figures, metrics and system and process issues to support major decisions within the business. The key groups within the Finance team include corporate and operational finance, internal teams support, the controllers group, internal audit and risk advisory services, taxation, treasury, corporate strategy and mergers and acquisitions.
Information Technology Finance (IT Finance) is seeking a highly motivated and qualified individual to assume the role of Manager - Finance. In this role, you will report to the Senior Manager – Information Technology (IT) Finance and you will provide support to other Senior Managers in the team and directly to the Information Technology team as well. In addition, you will provide business/financial planning assistance and performance management tools to drive business process improvements, and to assist IT in meeting business goals. You will partner with IT planning primes for month end results, provide analysis, and prepare operational budgets and YEEs.
This position offers the opportunity to:

• Provide data and financial analysis to optimize the success of the business.
• Provide financial analysis and support as well as guidance on any accounting issues or classification.
The successful candidate will be responsible and accountable for the following:
• The candidate will report to the Senior Manager – Information Technology (IT) Finance
• Support the annual budget-building processes as well as monthly pulse plus quarterly official forecast updates for the various areas of the business. This involves working as a team member with Senior Manager and with business unit managers (ex Interco reconciliation), soliciting advice and recommendations, and presenting the end result to Senior Management with associated justification.
• Report monthly results in varying formats, ensuring the most meaningful medium for each audience including preparing monthly results package for Vice President - Infrastructure.
• Manage multiple priorities and demands originating from a diverse group of customers located throughout the Information Technology and Finance organizations and develop strong working relationships throughout the organization.
• Manage special project requests and provide financial support to the Operational team.
• Recommend and implement process improvements.

• Ability to effectively communicate and present complex ideas and results in simplified terms.
• Proven leadership ability
• Ability to meet deadlines and to work under time pressure
• Ability to work individually and as part of a team
• Excellent skills in Excel and Power Point
• Strong knowledge of SAP and PEATS
• Knowledge of BPC and BI is considered an asset
Preferred qualifications / competencies:
• Understanding of financial and management accounting concepts
• Strong background in Information Technology (IT) and/or Finance (2-3 years of relevant experience)
• Good to strong knowledge of SAP and PEATS
• Professional Accounting Designation or working towards certification, (CMA, CA or CGA) is considered an asset
Bilingualism is an asset (English and French)
