The Outside Sales Assistantreports to the Automotive Manager of Advertising andprovides sales support to the Account Executives on the Regional Automotive Sales Team. This person will provide support to the AE's before pre and post advertising sales. Assist with billing, help call in payments for ads, upload last minute ad copy and coordinate marketing information. Must be digital savvy and able to fully cover an AE’s desk and be able to step in with a seamless transition at any time or when the AE is on vacation or out of the office.
Responsibilities:
• Work closely with all Account Executives and your region’s clients/offices and know their business.
• Return calls and emails in a timely manner.
• Manage advertising reservations when AE is unavailable.
• Go out on office visits and appointments when Account Executive is unavailable.
• Be able to manage credit/financial issues through to resolution.
• Have a complete knowledge of all products and be able to sell those products when necessary.
• Have a strong relationship with managers, ad operations, and editions planning.
• Have a thorough understanding and working knowledge of account systems, including, ADIT, E-proofs, e-tears, CRM, LAT Self Service portals.
• Be a resource of information for your Account Executives and always keep the AEs informed.
• Provide phone customer service to clients on issues whenever possible to free up time for Account Executives to sell.
• Provide reports to Account Executives and managers when requested.
• Be able to create and provide sales presentations when Marketing Department cannot fulfill request when needed by reps.
• Assist in proofing ads when not covering an AE’s territory.
Qualifications:
• 1-3 years of coordinating or administrative experience.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Strong excel skills is a must and computer skills.
• Self-starter with the ability to multi task.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong presentation skills.
• Must be able to Multi Task in a fast paced environment.
• Deadline driven and goal oriented is a must to reach Advertising Sales objectives.
• Advertising or Sales background is a plus.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office- Power Point a plus
