Job TitleHR Assistant
The Human Resources (HR) Assistant provides administrative support in order to enhance HR team’s effectiveness.
The ideal candidate is discreet, organized, adaptable, and possesses superb communication skills.
This is an open-ended temp position.
Essential Job Functions
40%
Manages calendars: plans meetings, coordinates candidate interviews across departments, schedules special events, assists other departments with booking conference rooms
30%
Covers main reception desk when receptionist is on break or out of the office: greets guests of all Meredith employees, routes phone calls to appropriate individual/department, answers/directs inquiries
30%
Other tasks include, but are not limited to: updating org charts, filing, assembling benefits folders, screening correspondence, drafting documents, fielding phone calls, checking references, and screening resumes/candidates
Minimum Qualifications and Job Requirements| All must be met to be considered.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred but not required
Experience:
1-3 years’ corporate office or business experience
Specific Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite required
Advanced attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to communicate with tact and diplomacy
Self-starter who can manage and prioritize multiple projects without compromising quality of work
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage with all levels of Meredith employees
Awareness of and willingness to do what needs to be done without being asked
Ability to anticipate and execute leadership’s needs
