Job Summary| Major goals and objectives.
MXM is seeking an Influencer Marketing Specialist to join our team. This position will be responsible for leading the strategy and execution of day-to-day influencer marketing activities on behalf of large consumer brands, such as those within auto, cable television, food and packaged goods. This position will also contribute to new business endeavors as a subject-matter expert.
While primarily working within the influencer-marketing practice, this position requires a working understanding of digital and social marketing to advise clients and peers on integration strategies. Simultaneously, this role will support the vision of MXM and its partner brands by contributing to new business and upsell strategies, practice-wide education and support personal professional growth, as well as the growth of team members.
Essential Job Functions: Weight %: Accountabilities, Actions & Measurable Results
60% Influencer Engagement & Content Amplification
• Manage the design, planning, construction and execution of influencer marketing campaigns on behalf of MXM clients
◦ Research and identify key influencers, bloggers and online media within designated verticals
◦ Craft communications that effectively relay brand messages while supporting personal, long-term relationships on behalf of MXM
◦ Build influencer-marketing strategies that support long-term, qualified brand engagements
◦ Identify, establish and manage ongoing opportunities for brands to engage with influencers
◦ Understanding and compliance with proper FTC guidelines for brand activities
◦ Secure and negotiate earned and paid partnerships on behalf of MXM brands, including news items, product reviews, content exchanges, user-generated content, social engagement, et al
25% New Business & Client Management
• Collaborate closely with Account and Business Development leads to manage quality media and platform-influencer relationships on behalf of clients and prospects to meet business objectives
• Support new business opportunities within the MXM NYC Office by crafting integrated, client-specific strategies with best-in-class tactical recommendations
• Proactively identify growth opportunities within existing brands for additional partnerships, service
• Attend client meetings, team workshops, and other events as needed
10% Thought Leadership
• Mentor junior resources for growth and greater success in client teams, as well as across practice and departments
• Present thought-leadership to clients and peers within related landscapes to further personal and professional growth
◦ Lead client-specific and practice-specific educational sessions
◦ Mentor junior team members in cross-training efforts
◦ Advocate for influencer marketing services and best practices within internal peer meetings and new business discussions
5% Landscape Learning & Growth of Marketing Expertise
• Participate and lead team, department and agency trainings
• Participate in relevant learning activities across the industry for personal-professional growth
• Develop strategic learning artifacts – channel POVs, platform-update alerts, assessment of industry news – on behalf of MXM to further client learning

Minimum Qualifications and Job Requirements | All must be met to be considered.
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Marketing, or a related field, or, the equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience:
At least 2 years of previous PR, media relations or influencer marketing experience. No particular vertical knowledge is required but experience with corporate and CPG clients is a plus. Experience in a media or influencer organization preferred.
