Summary
The team lead will support the technical leads in their management tasks in terms of quality assurance and deadline compliance.
The team lead will contribute to the vision for the department’s technological evolution, foster collaborations with various partners, ensure the development of his/her team, help follow up on the team’s output, coach team members and validate production outcomes.
Mission
The main and routine tasks of the team lead are to:
• create, prioritize, assign and ensure daily follow ups of tasks and the advancement of the team’s work based on deliverables;
• act as the team’s representative;
• organize and oversee team meetings;
• provide managers with periodic reports on the advancement of his/her team’s tasks and suggest corrective measures whenever necessary in order to meet objectives;
• anticipate and identify potential conflicts and put forward solutions as part of team problem-solving efforts;
• act as a technical mentor for team members in collaboration with technical leads when required;
• take part in performance follow ups in collaboration with the director;
• coordinate tasks to fix bugs generated by the team;
• help new members integrate the team;
• help recruit new team members;
• carry out all other related tasks.
Qualifications
Training
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or computer engineering or equivalent training. Certificate in project management an asset.
Relevant experience
• 2 to 4 years’ experience in general programming or other relevant experience.
