Summary:
This is a key position in the Enterprise Services organization. Responsible for overseeing multiple Solution Engineers selling medium-large scale Ethernet and Broadband Networks, Complex IP Networks, Video, Advanced Voice and ManagedDevices (i.e. managed router, managed WiFi, managed security etc.) to Large Fortune 1000 Enterprise Accounts. The right professional will be comfortable and proficient in LAN/WAN environments, routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers and experience with routing protocols. The candidate will lead a team of Strategic and National Accounts Solutions Engineers focusing on Enterprise managed services. Influences and integrates overall team strategy to meet and exceed company goals. Provides subject matter guidance to employees as required. Develops processes and procedures to drive organizational efficiencies. Assists in development and meeting of departmental budget.
Core Responsibilities:
• Lead a team and contribute as needed in sales engagement
• Help drive Comcast Business sales by developing the overall solution strategy for all sales opportunities
• Develop SOW for technical solutions that meet the customers' business objectives by mapping to Comcast products or third party supplier solutions where appropriate to produce end to end customer solutions
• Monitors team processes and procedures and makes necessary modifications to improve sales effectiveness and cycle time reduction.
• Act as a subject matter expert for all Comcast Business Enterprise Services products, solutions and process.
• Develops key leadership relationships to ensure the collaboration between the Sales, 3rd party providers, operations and engineering,and finance teams
• Stay abreast of competitive landscape and emerging technologies to best position Comcast in the marketplace.
• Monitors the overall operating budget, adjust team strategy as needed and accurately reports out to leadership on work activity any budget issues.
• Develops new strategies to be employed by the sales engineering team to meet company goals and objectives.
• Facilitate the technical collaboration with Network Engineering, Architecture, Product Engineering, Systems Engineering, Service Delivery,Product Management, Product Deployment, HQ Sales Operations, and Marketing teams to fully support the Presales Effectiveness of the Sales andSales Engineering teams.
• Demonstrates advanced solution selling abilities and effective, pro-active customer communications. Attends customer meetings in person and via the phone. Interacts with all levels of customer's management team to drive new sales.
• Coordinates customer implementation handoff packages and meeting with service delivery organization, provides design clarifications. Interfaces directly with customer.
• Partner with proposal management organization to build out detailed RFP responses and contract development
• Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
• Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and overtime as necessary.
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
• BS or BA in Engineering or Computer Science. Graduate degree preferred
• 9+ years' experience in one or more of the following:
• A customer facing Pre Sales technical consulting technical role (i.e. Solutions Engineeringor Architect, Portfolio Partner, Technical Consultant) assessing and advising the clients of their current and future needs.
• Network Engineering
• Consulting for large scale complex, multi-location solutions
• Demonstrated and verifiable track record of prior successful customer engagements. (Examples of solution designs, statements of work and/or technical project plans to be provided.)
• Architecture to include conceptualization, definition, development and implementation of solutions with accountability for end to end delivery
• Direct Experience in the design, development and implementation complex solutions addressing client needs in the following areas: Data and IP Services, Managed Network Services, Managed Security Solutions, Managed Mobility, Cloud Computing, Unified Communication and Collaboration.
• Experience as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in at least (2) of the following technologies with a general knowledge in all of the remaining technologies:
• Unified Communications
• Advanced Networking
• Cloud / Data Center
• Security
• Mobility
• Leading industry certifications in one or more of the following technology areas is highly desired:
• Networking: Cisco, Juniper
• Unified Communication: Avaya, Polycom, Cisco, Microsoft
• Mobility: Aruba, Citrix, Cisco
• Security: CISSP, CEH, Cisco, Fortinet, CheckPoint
• Strong communication skills in verbal and written to deliver customer presentations aimed at aligning technical solutions with business value.
• Experience preparing customer-facing material such as RFP responses, proactive proposals and solution designs.
• Strong leadership, negotiation, conflict resolution and consensus-building skills with business and technical groups
• Must be a team player, able to handle ambiguity, anticipate and react to changes quickly in a fast paced environment
• Self-starter/self driven, with the ability to work independently
• Willingness to travel as needed.
