A Lot About You
You will be responsible for managing and influencing the monetization activities of the US Field sales team. Sales leadership will look to you for support and recommendations in an effort to increase display ad revenue year-over-year. You have the ability to analyze rate trends and review sell-thru across properties in order to propose ways to improve monetization across our diverse product offerings. You have an analytical and problem solving mindset to complement your superior communication and presentation skills.
Your Day
Establish pricing for a new ad offering. Evaluate rate exception requests against established rate card floors and opportunity cost to ensure yield positive media buys. Work with sales teams to structure advertiser incentive agreements that reward year-over-year revenue growth in an effort to capture increased market share. Provide analysis of inventory sell-thru rates and realized cpms by property in order to propose rate card adjustments. Propose a creative solution to help an account director close a deal (and feel very proud that you have directly impacted Yahoo's success!)
You Must Have
Undergraduate degree with 4+ years relevant professional experience. Experience working at a major portal, ad network, or large-scale media agency, Deep understanding of digital media and the ability to balance big picture thinking with detailed analysis, Experience interacting with senior sales leadership, Strong relationship building, communication and presentation skills, Superior business and analytical skills, Advanced Excel skills, Ability and desire to work in a fast-paced, fun and demanding environment, Demonstrated ability to take ownership over increasingly complex projects, High energy level
