NCS Pearson, Inc. in Washington, D.C. has an opening for the position of Test Development Manager, GED® Test responsible for managing the test development activities associated with the previous and current editions of the GED® test.
The focus of this position is on managing the development of content specifications, assessment targets, test blue prints, and asset development plans for Canadian edition of the test, including management of the translation and transadaptation (1) of the Canadian test into Canadian French and (2) of the US English test into Spanish. The position applies universal design principles to test development and manages design and creation of accommodated test forms to be delivered to students on computer in the US and Canada.
The position applies knowledge of and experience with academic content standards in use across Canada as well as college and career readiness content standards employed in the US.
Qualifications
Requires:
At least a Master’s or foreign equivalent degree in Applied Linguistics or Education plus two years of experience working with state content standards relative to student assessments and developing, reviewing and revising test items/tasks and rubrics for large scale state assessments.
In lieu of a Master’s and two years of experience, a Bachelor’s degree and five years of progressive, post-bachelor’s degree experience, as specified above, is also acceptable.
