Responsibilities
Role Summary:
The Coordinator for Universal Filmed Entertainment Group’s Global Talent Development & Inclusion Department will report to and provide administrative assistance to the Senior Vice President of the department while providing back-up assistance to the department’s director and manager.
Essential Responsibilities:
Coordinate logistics and administration of internal and external talent development programs for creative and workforce talent.
Coordinate logistics and administration for departmental and outreach events, as well as generated talent searches.
General Administrative duties including, but not limited to: answering telephones, scheduling meetings and events, processing executive expense reports, handling payment requests and create purchase orders for various projects, planning and executing travel arrangements for executives, arranging drive-ons.
Provide detailed coverage for submitted scripts and directing material (e.g. reels, feature length projects, short films, etc.).
Manage distribution of material to hired freelance readers and/or screeners as well as coordinate billing and payment when such services are rendered.
Identify and track potential diverse creative and workforce talent in the department’s database.
Maintain the department’s submissions database and return material when appropriate.
Maintain the department’s website and social media outlets (e.g. Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, etc.).
Assist in daily communication with the creative community as well as internal departments and business units.
Coordinate and participate in meetings and outreach events when necessary.
Hire and manage department interns each semester.
Travel may be involved.
Qualifications/Requirements
Basic Qualifications:
Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Film/TV Communications or related field.
Minimum 2 years experience within a high-volume studio, network, streaming service (e.g. Netflix, Amazon, etc..) and/or talent/literary agency or management firm.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including but not limited to Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
Familiarity with multi-cultural creative talent and or content appealing the broad multi-cultural audience.
Knowledgeable of social media and pop culture trends.
