Twitter is seeking a Communications Associate to assist each function (corporate, consumer, product and revenue) within the communications team on dedicated media campaigns that demonstrate Twitter’s influence and impact in the world. This includes working on product launches, partnerships and corporate communications initiatives. The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years experience working in communications and show a deep knowledge of Twitter’s many utilities among different audiences.
Responsibilities
• Assist in developing dedicated PR programs across corporate, product, consumer and revenue communications.
• Build and maintain media lists and contact notes for reporters and media outlets.
• Create coverage reports for PR campaigns.
• Manage incoming media inquiries.
• Create key messaging and briefing materials for company spokespeople.
• Develop and write press releases, blog posts, communications plans, statements and Tweets as needed.
• Research Twitter for story leads and new angles.
• Surface newsworthy Twitter trends and influential Tweets from notable accounts as they break.
Requirements
• 1-3 years experience in communications or PR
• Agency or in-house experience is preferred
• Ability to thrive and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent writing skills
