We have an opening for an experienced, innovative, strategic Senior Software Engineer in our Irvine, CA office. Does this sound like you?
Reporting to the Applied Research Engineering Manager, the Senior Software Engineerwill be responsible for implementing ALEKS software applications, focusing on initial design and software revisions. As necessary, answers ALEKS customer support technical issues.
Critical Functions:
• Deliver on-time, on-quality, on-scope, on-budget solution that will work in all our supported platforms.
• Design, Develop, debug, and maintain new features and a broad range of advanced tools for ALEKS.
• Integrate new features and tools in ALEKS, including features and tools developed by others, using such computer languages as JavaScript, HTML5, CSS 3, NodeJS, SQL, Perl and other general purpose computer languages.
• Contribute to the overall improvement of our internal system and of our existing technical architecture.
• Document technical changes and additions.
A successful candidate will have:
• Master’s degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering from a top school, or Bachelor’s degree plus years of experience that would be equivalent to a Master’s degree, or equivalent work experience.
• Very strong software programming skills.
• Self-motivated, self-critical, very attentive to detail, self-learner.
• Strong knowledge of Agile methodology.
• Very good ability to understand, analyze, and further expand the technical work of other employees.
• Knowledge of software engineering demonstrated by four plus years as Software Engineer.
