We have an opening for an experienced, innovative, strategic Sales Representative working remotely from a home office in New York. Does this sound like you?
Reporting to the District Manager, the Sales Representative will be responsible for marketing and selling a wide variety of instructional content and applications to schools in the New York City, specifically selling into the New York City Department of Education.
Critical Functions:
• The ability to advance and close opportunities in the assigned territory; managing to and surpassing your assigned sales goal.
• Become a trusted advisor to your customers’; maintain and develop customer relationships in assigned accounts at the school and district levels.
• Effectively Communicate (internally and customer facing) both Digital and Blended Learning solutions, with a demonstrated proficiency using multiple software programs, platforms and devices.
• Strong Presentation Skills will be required. You will be responsible for conducting Group meetings (presenting to 20-50 school leaders at a time) throughout your territory.
• You will create and execute marketing and strategic territory plans which will prioritize customer base activities, visibility and promotional activity. Additionally, you will develop and maintain customer profiles, build new contacts/customers and identify, document, forecast and manage new opportunities.
• As part of the NYCDOE MHE team, collaboration and effective communication with your peers will be required.
• You will be required to leverage extended teams and manage associated activities for those individuals in support of driving sales opportunities in the assigned territory your territory.
• Learn independently; conduct research, synthesize and apply information from a variety of resources.
• Work remotely with an expectation that you will be at customer sites within the boroughs of Queens and Brooklyn 70% of the time.
• Manage company resources, including the company-provided vehicle, company credit card and home office and computer equipment.
A successful candidate will have:
• A Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of relevant sales or educational experience.
• A minimum of three years of experience in teaching/sales with a preference for sales experienced individuals in the Pre-K to Grade 5 levels.
• Sales experience selling to the New York City Department of Education is preferred.
• Software skills: Outlook; Power Point; Word; Excel; Salesforce
• Strong presentation skills for all types of audiences.
• Able to lift and move up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis.
• Valid driver’s license.
