The Challenge Ahead:
The Software Engineer will extract and assess data to help architect and build tools using .NET and JAVA technologies that allow and optimize test automation across our systems, tools, and applications. This person will have a strong ability to plan, implement, and deploy tools, with an advanced technical experience with Test Automation.
What the Software Engineer will Achieve at EA:
• Integrates testing systems and tools into existing code base for the engine and content tools.
• Works with our testers to define the tests they are performing and use this to build automated verification suites.
• Maintains tools, integration, and technologies to support a highly reliable development environment.
• Understands and follow standard software engineering processes and best practices for requirements, design, implementation and testing.
• Continuous, front-line communication with all customers on goals and strategy.
• Contributes to the company’s general quality strategy.
• Acts as a member of a globally distributed organization that strives for quality across all of EA’s products.
Who You Are:
• Computer Science Degree, Computer Engineering Degree, or equivalent.
• Excellent understanding of software quality assurance concepts, debugging processes and procedures.
• Possess a minimum of 5 years professional Software development experience with the following: C++, C# and .NET
• Minimum of one-year professional experience with SQL and working with databases
• Demonstrated knowledge in ASP.NET, HTML and JavaScript
• Knowledge of TDD and BDD
• Scripting experience with Junit and TestNG
• Experience with Jenkins and P4
• Strong ability to self-manage and prioritize work effectively within deadlines.
• Demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills.
• Ability to negotiate with end-users on features, priorities, deliverables, and timeline
• Ability to work independently with minimal outside supervision.
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize and be flexible – able to adapt plans and react to change.
• Successfully interface with customers with a diverse set of backgrounds and needs - able to speak their language, appreciate their challenges, and maintain their respect.
