Yahoo’s Content Strategy and Solutions department is seeking students for paid internships for Summer 2017 in New York City, NY, Sunnyvale, CA or Chicago, IL. The commitment is mid-May through mid-August, with some flexibility on start/end dates.
A Lot About You
CSS interns will be provided an opportunity to immediately contribute through key projects impacting teams such as exploring new ways to innovate our sponsorship packages, collaborating with our cross functional partners in the development of native, audience targeting and video solutions, partnering with Product Marketing and B2B marketing on the development and go-to-market launch of Sales materials, among other projects.
Throughout the summer, each intern will have a direct manager and will be given a work experience similar to current full-time employees. This will include, but not be limited to, setting goals, attending meetings, communicating project status, collaborating with internal Yahoos, participating in 1:1s and creating presentations to management.
The goals for each successful candidate will be to enhance their Digital Marketing, Advertising and Sales knowledge, develop an understanding of Yahoo Sales tools, build their communication skills, and learn how to work with cross-functional partners. Interns will be held accountable to their project goals and will make an end-of-summer presentation regarding their experience and work completed.
Your Day
• Collaborate with CSS team members and other members of the Sales Organization
• Develop strategies to support and enhance our sponsorship package and media plan development
• Support other members of the CSS team on key projects such as media plan optimization, Sales material updates and posting of materials to our Sales web site
• Participate in individual and group projects with other Interns
You Must Have
• Must be pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Advertising, Marketing, or Liberal Arts major
• GPA of 3.5 or higher
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, PowerPoint
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Analytical and highly organized individual
• Independent, self starter
