Job Description
Assigned to a specific game development project, the HR Business Partner plays the vital role of providing guidance and support on a wide range of strategic and operational HR issues. You will work closely with leaders and team members of the project to foster a vibrant, friendly work environment that promotes strong collaboration, creativity, high performance and continuous learning.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
1. Business Partner to leaders and managers
• Serves as a liaison between the project and HR to understand business priorities and assesses needs in staffing, organization design, performance management, change management, employee relations, new leader coaching, talent management and career development;
• Recommends HR solutions, drives initiatives, implements new processes or tools in support of business priorities, project operations and overall team engagement;
• Meets with project leaders and managers regularly to update on HR initiatives, discuss HR issues and collect feedback on team concerns;
• Guides leaders and managers on performance and appraisal issues;
• Coordinates initiatives that enhance work relationships and staff and retention, e.g. team health survey, staff appreciation program, team building events etc.
1. HR Advisor for the team
• Supports employees throughout their career in Ubisoft: on-board new hires, administer team assignments and career moves, facilitate appraisals, exit interviews;
• Counsels employees on career development opportunities and choices;
• Answers staff queries on HR matters;
• Manages and resolves employee relations issues;
• Champions and promotes HR initiatives across the teams.
Qualifications
• At least 2 years’ work experience in a HR Business Partner role or in coordinating cross functional projects with multiple stakeholders. Candidates with less than 2 years of experience will be considered for the Junior HRBP position;
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources, Humanities or related disciplines;
• Excellent interpersonal, listening and communication skills (verbal and written);
• Strong work ethics, able to handle confidential information sensitively and with integrity;
• Good planning, organization, analytical and problem solving skills;
• Fast learner, proactive, agility to function in a fast changing innovative environment;
• Able to work both on a team (a member or leader) and independently to deliver results with minimal supervision;
• adept at working with diverse teams of different cultures and personalities.
