EA is seeking a qualified senior infrastructure engineer for our infrastructure and release management team to help maintain and improve our systems. A successful candidate will have knowledge and experience in the design, implementation, and support of large scale systems to support game stability during development and after release. They are responsible for implementing, optimizing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and documenting large-scale, highly-available, game automation systems to ensure titles ship on-time and at high quality. You will work directly with build and automation programmers.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Reviews, analyzes, debugs, and modifies existing automation systems in support of titles currently in development and in production.
• Accountable for crash and telemetry collection from automated, development, and production systems.
• Works closely with stakeholders across multiple teams to ensure work aligns with requirements and game team goals.
• Programs tools and utilities to support work of the development team.
• Writes clear, maintainable, portable code.
• Participates in code reviews with other engineers.
• Mentors less experienced engineers.
REQUIREMENTS
• University degree in computer science, software engineering or related technical discipline is strongly preferred.
• Strong experience with developing, maintaining, and analyzing the results of automated test software.
• Ability to test, debug, and extend other Software Engineer’s code competently.
• Experience with and knowledge of multi-tier architecture is required.
• Experience working with large (multi-million line) code bases.
• Experience with SCM systems, Perforce preferred.
RECOMMENDED SKILLS
• Experience with continuous integration tools (e.g. Jenkins) and issue tracking systems.
• Professional experience in C++ development and various scripting languages.
• Game industry experience a strong plus.
• Experience with game development hardware platforms a strong plus.
• Experience with large scale code line integrations.
