The Software Quality Assurance Engineer is responsible for identifying requirements for product testing, creating and executing test plans and cases, documenting results and defects, reporting status on a regular basis, and for performing other software quality assurance tasks as assigned.
Primary Responsibilities
Perform Software QA responsibilities associated with the products and solutions produced by Certiport - A Pearson VUE Company. This will include such tasks as:
• Identify requirements for product testing
• Validate requirements to establish testability and acceptance criteria
• Develop and update product test plans
• Develop and update test cases necessary to support test plans - both manual and automated
• Ensure test plans and procedures support product development plans and procedures
• Test case execution and management
• Defect tracking and management
• Time management, forecast test schedule/requirements
• Reproduction and troubleshooting of reported issues
• Status reporting
• Coordinate testing efforts with others
• Set-up and maintenance of test environments
Qualifications
Education and Experience:
• Bachelor's Degree (or college seniors pursuing a degree) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems/Technology, Engineering Management, or related technical field and/or equivalent education experience
• 2 or more years of related software quality assurance experience
Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:

• Must be able to work well in a team environment and as an individual contributor
• General working knowledge of Windows and Mac operating systems
• General working knowledge of MS Office applications

• Ability to learn new technologies quickly
• Understanding of SQL a plus
