The Operations Coordinator is responsible for assisting the Operations Manager with various workflow streams, inclusive of audio, video, graphical and multimedia disciplines, as related to Sony Music Entertainment asset management systems. Additionally this position will provide backup coverage for graphic design related projects
Responsibilities:
• Viewing work request system and evaluating open issues to ensure all work is completed as requested by clients. Includes following up on open requests ensuring they are closed in a timely fashion.
• Serve as point of contact for label/affiliate client base with questions and/or concerns.
• Contribute to planning registration initiatives/projects for new distribution partners and/or re-delivery projects.
• Help evaluate capacity and need for consultant staffing with Operation Managers to schedule according to current capacity needs.
• Asset Management: Assist in maintaining asset inventory both physical and digital. Receive and log-in new masters from label/affiliates and distribute to the appropriate engineers.
• Work closely with the Operation Managers to ensure proper client and user support. Maintain a close relationship with Engineering teams via weekly department meetings.
• Provide feedback pertaining to system, workflow and process improvements.
• SECONDARY support for Graphics team lead, providing backup and assistance as needed for graphics requests.
Qualifications:
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in operational coordination and/or an undergraduate degree from an accredited college/university with appropriate course work.
• Efficiency and organizational skills a must to handle large priority lists and status updates
• Focused and extreme attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills
• Knowledge of system messaging and metadata
• Troubleshooting experience
• General knowledge of the following applications
◦ Mac & Windows based systems
◦ File transfer applications (e.g. FileZilla; Aspera)
◦ iTunes
◦ Microsoft Office suite
• Graphic Design Background: Experience in Photoshop with an eye for digital retouching, intermediate knowledge in Indesign/Quark and Acrobat troubleshooting.
• Thoroughness, adaptability, and punctuality are required for this position
