Framestore are opening a new office in Chicago in Spring 2017, and we are looking for a receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate is someone who knows Chicago well, and is ready for all the challenges that opening an office can bring. You must have initiative, be enthusiastic and a passion for making our new office an enjoyable place for both clients and staff.
As the first point of contact for company clients, guests and employees the receptionist will provide first class customer service, behaving with excellent professionalism and efficiency at all times. The receptionist role is a key entry-level position for those seeking a foothold within visual effects. We offer continuous exposure to the highest caliber of visual effects work and the opportunity to build relationships with well-known industry professionals. The receptionist role is a stepping stone to further roles within the Company.
Responsibilities:
• Contributing a very positive and welcoming impression on our staff and visitors
• Offering drinks to arriving clients
• Answering telephone and email inquiries in a professional manner
• Maintaining the reception environment to a high presentation level
• Ensuring building security is maintained through firm but friendly adherence to Company policies and procedures
• Keeping track of in-house clients, inter-office visitors, and staff schedules
• Publishing company Dailies information to staff
• Stationary stock control and orders
• Arranging private car transport for clients and employees
• Maintaining internal directory system
• Organizing and maintaining calendars
• Handling lunch and dinner orders for staff and clients
• Tracking package deliveries
• Assisting office manager
• Ad hoc administrative duties as required
• May require flexible hours/start time during peak production periods
Essential Skills:
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Previous experience in a fast-paced customer orientated role
• Proven ability to prioritize own work load
• Confident, outgoing, friendly and positive attitude
• Familiarity with MS Office
Desirable Skills:
• Previous knowledge of Framestore's work and an interest in film, television or commercials
• Previous reception or switchboard experience
• Skilled in handling pressure and multitasking in a calm manner
• Ability to respond to requests and problem solving proactively
• Professional presentation and dress code
