We are seeking a highly driven, data-driven, and digital-savvy marketer to lead our Audience Marketing team as the Director of Audience Marketing. The Director of Audience Marketing is responsible for setting, managing and executing audience marketing strategies and tactics to meet traffic and registration goals for editorial initiatives and client campaigns.
Responsibilities:
• Develop and consistently execute against an audience growth strategy
• Manage an audience marketing team to deliver client campaigns within tight timelines
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to innovate and develop creative strategies to grow our audience
• Be a thought leader in partnering with our editorial team to meet audience and traffic goals
• Analyze our audience profiles and data to understand our most monetizable audiences and how to position our audience story for the sales team
• Develop new tools and tactics to grow our lead generation business
• Create, execute, and track marketing plans to achieve traffic and registration objectives for GEMG editorial and custom campaigns
• Establish and continuously refresh digital marketing best practices to optimize tactics, including A/B testing, messaging tactics, segmenting, etc.
• Identify, negotiate, and manage strategic partnerships to help achieve GEMG audience objectives
• Monitor, analyze, and report on audience marketing results
Characteristics of the ideal candidate:
• 6+ years of experience in audience marketing preferred
• 2+ years of managing a team
• Strong skills in analytical and strategic thinking
• Ability to understand and use market trends and audience interests to develop and execute a growth strategy
• Creativity and a high degree of organization skills
• Proven track record in developing and executing digital marketing campaigns
• Experience in email marketing highly preferred
• Experience with Excel, SQL and a strong ability to analyze datasets preferred
• Experience in SEO, paid traffic, and social media marketing preferred
• Knowledge of HTML, Adobe Dreamweaver, and web-based email platforms preferred
• Experience with using Google Analytics and other digital analytics tools preferred
• Bachelor’s degree required
