SUMMARY
Hulu’s Information Security Team is seeking an Application Security Engineer who will be a great addition to the rest of the team. As an Application Security Engineer at Hulu, you will ensure the proper security posture of Hulu’s internal and external applications by serving as the interface between development teams and the rest of the security team. The right person for this role is a self-driven individual who is always looking for better ways of getting the job done. WHAT YOU’LL DO
• Perform testing of new and existing applications for security vulnerabilities
• Integrate security into development processes
• Consult with development teams on secure architecture and best practices
• Develop secure coding training and education
• Participate in security operations support and incident handling
• Evaluate new and emerging security products and technologies
WHAT TO BRING
• Experience and strong technical knowledge in application security, cryptography, authentication and authorization, and security engineering
• Development experience in Java, Ruby, and/or Python
• Experience with service-oriented architecture and web service security
• Strong knowledge of security vulnerabilities and remediation techniques
• Excellent leadership and teamwork skills
• Strong negotiator, self-motivated, and outgoing
NICE-TO-HAVES
• 3 - 4 years of relevant work experience
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering/Information Systems or equivalent experience
• 2+ years of experience in application-level vulnerability testing and auditing
• 2+ years of experience working with development teams
