Responsibilities
Role Summary
The Vice President for NBCU Hispanic Ad Sales Research & Strategy will work closely with their team to support Sales, Network Partnerships, and Business Development’s revenue generation efforts. This person will create strategic and customized research with actionable insights and visually compelling formats. The VP will leverage syndicated research tools as well as plan/implement custom studies to effectively position Telemundo and NBCUniverso in the marketplace. The role reports to the SVP, Ad Sales Research & Strategy for NBCU Lifestyle & Hispanic verticals.
• Participates in setting sales research strategy that includes opportunities to grow business and maximize ad revenue for NBCU Hispanic networks.
• Provide strategic input to sales and marketing teams in the creation of unique, high demand, custom offerings while demonstrating value to advertisers.
• Creates effective cross platform sales positioning for Hispanic Networks and digital properties.
• Ensures a timely response, creates effective sales positioning, develops presentations and generates reports ensuring marketplace unique value proposition.
• Proactively directs teams in development of ideas and produces new research analyses through
in-depth use of primary and secondary research.
• Explore and evaluate new vendors and metrics that will enhance the value of the NBCU Hispanic audience/consumer to advertisers.
• Strong leader; internally and externally.
Qualifications/Requirements
Basic Qualifications
• Four year degree (B.A., B.S.) from an accredited college or university, preferably in Marketing, Communications, Psychology, Media, Economics/Finance, Math, Statistics or related field
• 12+ years national media experience including television and digital
• 5+ years of management experience
• Big picture strategic thinker who has the ability to analyze/ interpret data and translate research into actionable results through effective storytelling and presentations
• Working experience of digital ratings and metrics and cross-platform measurement
• Extensive primary research experience
• Expert knowledge of Nielsen and other media research systems (i.e. Explorer, NPower, AdIntel, NBE, Lake 5, MRI, Simmons, ComScore, Adobe, Social Metrics, etc.)
• Expertise and significant experience with Excel and PowerPoint
• Detail oriented individual with proven ability to handle multiple projects in a fast paced environment by working efficiently and effectively under changing priorities and time constraints
• Strong communication, presentation, client service and interpersonal skills.
