Role Scenario
With over 1 billion songs Shazamed every 6 weeks, often as part of a TV commercials, there has never been a better opportunity for the brands associated to extend their presence in a truly natural way. And that’s just one of the brilliant ways we can support them.
We are looking for a new Sales Manager to come and join our newly formed Berlin office. A background in mobile Ad Sales is a must, as is a knowledge of the entertainment landscape and a creative mind when it comes to how we might be working with the brands we aren’t already working with – or how we might support the ones we already work with differently.
Where Does The Role Sit?
Based in Berlin and reporting into our Commercial Country Manager for Germany.
What Will You Do?
• Develop, service and manage new and existing relationships with current and potential partner organizations. Build a pipeline of new business opportunities that will enhance the competitive positioning of Shazam in Germany.
• Work very closely and collaboratively with key partners in the business to ensure all events, branding and marketing opportunities are maximised to their full potential.
• Leverage your network/experience while working with multiple departments and customers to develop new ideas, flush out existing practices, and suggest and prioritize product features that meet market demands and customer needs.
• Develop, evaluate, and prioritize new ways to grow the business through intelligent partnerships that maximise impact for both Shazam and the partner organisation,
• Maintain an intimate knowledge of trends in the digital media industry. Serve as the Company’s “ear to the ground” relating to changes in the market. Maintaining and developing a full knowledge of our competitive landscape.
• Be a high performing team member that consistently exceeds the expectations of employees, customers, and shareholders. Meet and quickly exceed sales targets.
• Become an expert user of our product so you can gain a deep understanding of its value proposition and target audience. Gaining this expertise requires being tech-savvy.
Experience: Required
• Must be smart, a strategic thinker, full of good ideas, resilient, persistent, flexible and driven.
• Must be outgoing, collaborative and communicative, comfortable and experienced in networking and establishing relationships with others professionally and effectively. The ability to simply convey complex ideas.
• Background within Ad Sales for Mobile, selling sponsorships and programs, with a history of achieving and exceeding quarterly revenue goals.
• Ability to penetrate organizations and agencies to reach various levels of decision makers.
• Natural sense of urgency and a keen sense of priorities.
• Ability to simultaneously advance multiple complex projects.
• Ability to prove value in new media areas.
• Timely, accurate and detail orientated.
• History selling sponsorships or non-traditional programs – getting people to say yes to something they didn’t previously have a budget for.
• Appropriate aggressiveness in challenging conventional methods.
• Salesforce knowledge.
• A team player who can gel with many personality types.
• Must thrive in a fast paced, (sometimes chaotic) but exciting, changing environment.
