Responsibilities
We are looking for an outstanding senior content development professional that is passionate about content and culture to take the lead on new business initiatives within this well-established and highly successful local acquisition (LAQ) team. The successful candidate will have exceptional commercial awareness and be able to take a project from idea stage and build it into a fully-fledged execution plan. This is an exciting role that will provide a pivotal connection between the creative, commercial and corporate worlds in the largest media company in the world.
Qualifications/Requirements
Maximise the exploitation value of titles acquired by LAQ
• Responsible for communication of complete slate of LAQ title information & timings across wider business. Work to ensure LAQ is internal partner of choice across wider business
◦ Stakeholder management across multiple business within NBCUniversal, such as Consumer Products etc. – provide single point of contact, responsible for troubleshooting any asset issues (working closely with the Content Delivery team LAQ team) & providing proactive solutions
◦ Manage title tracker(s) & release date database
Ensure tracking information is accurate and consistently up to date
Liaise with central & local marketing teams to trouble shoot any issues with information flow
Ensure all internal stakeholders across NBC Universal have information required to maximize external sales
◦ Monitor/spot check asset flows, working closely with (and as required, providing support for) Content Delivery team LAQ team
◦ For key titles, ensure all strategic stage posts achieved, and to deadline
• Develop and trial new business models for distribution/windowing, working with internal stakeholders across NBCU business lines
◦ Financial modelling to support release strategies
◦ Post-mortem analysis & sharing of key learnings
New Business Development
• Provide analysis / support financial modelling & business plan evaluation for new business ideas / partnerships
• Research and provide early stage due diligence on new business areas outside of LAQ’s existing expertise
• Identify potential new business / expansion opportunities relevant to LAQ
