We build and maintain large-scale, highly transactional databases using Open Source technology. On our team, you’ll have the opportunity to support large and highly scalable database deployments. We'll trust you to:
• Design and automate complex processes and build custom database monitoring & alerting in Python
• Automate orchestration and configuration management using tools such as CHEF and SALT
• Handle performance tuning, break/fix, backup and recovery, capacity planning, database fail-over setup and management
• Develop best practices and repeatable procedures for deploying and scaling databases
• Provide production support for highly transactional databases servicing OLTP and DSS applications
• Ensure our production systems are stable and secure

• Excellent scripting skills and working knowledge of Python is a must
• Deep knowledge of orchestration and configuration management systems
• Experience in designing and automating complex processes
• Experience working with Open Source database systems such as MySQL and PostgreSQL

We'd love to see:
