Job Description:
The VP Scripted Marketing Strategy and Creative will be responsible for the A+E Networks Scripted global marketing strategy and execution and A+E Studios global brand and marketing strategy.The role will be central in ensuring A + E’s position as a world-class producer and exporter of outstanding creativity (content + talent) to our domestic and international consumers and customers (trade). Driving both A+E Networks and A+E Studio’s reputation, value and brand positioning across our global channels and commercial activities to maximise audience, sales and profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
• Responsible for the scripted portfolio of A&E networks
• In collaboration with Heads of Marketing Domestic and International develop globally consistent end to end marketing strategy and positioning to launch shows to trade and consumer audiences
• Responsible for the development of the creative briefs for all Scripted
• Responsible for communicating and collaborating on all marketing Initiatives to all A&E networks divisions.
• Responsible for providing a global marketing voice within A+E Studios program planning and development
• Develop and implement the brand strategy for A+E Studios to drive premium position with the trade and industry
• Identify and develop 360 degree strategic plans for Brand Franchises
• Responsible for the delivery of creative and talent from A+E Studios to support the marketing strategy including the organisation of activities such as shoots, marketing content, set visits and all Production assets
• Responsible for the flow of communication regarding Production plans to the Marketing and Creative network
• Facilitate A+E Studios creative approval on all marketing plans and materials
• Perform other miscellaneous projects assigned by CMO and SVP Creative (Tim your title?)
Qualification Requirements:
• Experience and passion for Scripted content
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills
• A collaborator, used to working in a matrixed organisation
• Global mindset: thinking and acting for both local and global needs
• Strong knowledge of consumer and trade marketing/distribution for Domestic and International Television
• An experienced strategic marketer who is both conceptual and practical
• Highly organised and detail oriented
• A senior professional who can influence at the highest level
