A Little About Us
Yahoo7's Advertising Technology team is focused on maintaining and growing our relationships with our clients by providing first line technical support for Yahoo7's Ad Platforms. We review, investigate, replicate, prioritize and resolve a wide range of issues related to display, video, native and programmatic ads. We use a mixture of product knowledge, technical skills and experience to identify problems and provide solutions. When we can't fix an issue ourselves we work with Engineering and Product teams to drive resolution. We lead with innovation on creative solutions and executions, providing clients with strategic creative offerings and first in class client experience.
A Lot About You
You'll be excited about the opportunity to work on a range of world-class advertising platforms serving millions of impressions to millions of users everyday. You'll be interested in knowing how these ad platforms interact with web pages, both within Yahoo7's own network and across a complex network of publishers and advertisers. You'll need to have a curious nature and a desire to follow things through to the end - and you'll need to be determined and tenacious in finding the right people and processes to get to a solution. You'll have a basic understanding of key web technologies alongside advanced knowledge of Advertising Technology.
You'll have an understanding of the online advertising marketplace with market knowledge across display, Video, Native and TV advertising trends. You'll also be familiar with at least some of the following; tracking pixels, retargeting, programmatic buying, native advertising, geo-targeting, behavioural targeting, 3rd party tracking and reporting.
And, most importantly, you'll want to learn and apply new information on a daily basis to keep campaigns delivering, revenue flowing and clients happy.
Your day
• Developing a best-in-business understanding of ad serving platforms in order to assist with troubleshooting and optimizations
• Management of Yahoo7's ad-serving waterfall, ensuring connections to external providers are efficient and monetizable
• Owning the ad-related testing of new business initiatives and technology updates, reporting and documenting findings to stakeholders
• Managing team announcements to wider business as needed
• Creating and managing team documentation on shared websites. Implementing processes to drive a higher level of efficiency within the team.
What you'll need
• Bachelors degree or equivalent experience
• 2 + years of related work experience in Digital Advertising
• Knowledge of publisher side technology stacks & third party ad serving interfaces
• Ability to troubleshoot in a technical / online environment
• Creative thinker with the ability to identify and solve problems
• Ability to function well both independently and as part of a team
• Be available for a 6 month contract
