Purpose of the Role: Through effective relationships, the Inside Renewals AE is responsible for achieving sales and profit objectives for their assigned territory. Inside Renewals AE are responsible for working collaboratively with Field and Inside Sales AEs to achieve these objectives
Job Responsibilities:
• Develops account strategies and territory plans that address customer needs and issues while meeting assigned quotas; targets and prioritizes accounts and activities and adjusts appropriately; Utilizes all resources effectively including per diems, campaigns, SFDC and SAMC
• Strategically plans sales calls by outlining objectives and action steps. Identify upselling opportunities and work cooperatively with field and inside colleagues to close business.
• Demonstrates knowledge of account history, the processes and procedures specific to each district, and the key issues for each account.
• Responds to customers’ requests and problems with appropriate timeliness and concern; Develops professional credibility and trust with the customer;
• Provides timely and complete information needed for all stakeholders to perform effectively in the territory; Uses voicemail and email appropriately; Updates Salesforce.com regularly.
• Partner with field and inside colleagues on identified opportunities as appropriate
• Proactively prepare cost proposals and update opportunities in SFDC. Works with manager and internal teams to improve data accuracy.
• Effectively communicates the major features, advantages, and benefits of each product;
Works independently and as part of a team to achieve results
Requirements:
• This position requires a Bachelor’s Degree.
• 3-5 years sales experience with a proven track record in meeting quota. Educational/Technology sales experience desirable.
• Experience in account development & account renewals preferred.
• Proficient in MS Office and CRM Software (Salesforce.com preferred).
Physical Requirements:
• Might be in a stationary position for a considerable time (sitting and/or standing).
• The person in this position needs to move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
• Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.
• Must be able to collaborate with colleagues via face to face, conference calls, and online meetings.
• Must be able to travel up to 10% of the time possibly being domestic air travel and/or driving between customer sites.
• This role is based in an HMH office location in either IL or TX. HMH Offices are located in Geneva or Itasca IL or Austin TX.
