We are looking for a Mobile Games Business Analyst to join the EA Los Angeles publishing team, focusing on our top mobile games. This individual will be based at the EA Playa Vista campus, working closely with a cross-functional team of business development, mobile analytics, studio, marketing, ops, and live service teams. The right candidate will be able to ingest, evaluate and report data that leads to decision-making insights, identify trends, develop recommendations, and collaborate effectively with a team of seasoned mobile game publishers. This will be a 6 month contract position onsite at our studio in Playa Vista.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
• Support the mobile publishing team with fact-based data-driven insights and analysis
• Evaluate in-game monetization models and find new opportunities to improve game KPI’s that lead to revenue growth
• Work with product teams, PM’s, data scientists, data processing, and other analysts to coordinate data flow, interpret and validate trustworthy sources with mathematical rigor
• Partner publishing and reporting teams to develop requirements for dashboards and reports for stakeholders
• Create regular and ad hoc competitive mobile game business intelligence reports in a deadline driven organization
• Learn and use EA’s internal and external data systems to gather data on both a regular and as need basis
• Assist in the creation of monthly financial reviews
• Track, evaluate and report against competitive game business intelligence
• Create and present business presentations to a diverse audience of mobile business groups
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:
• 2+ years of relevant hands on experience in mobile gaming economics, telemetry management, and mobile game KPIs
• Advanced SQL skills: including extensive experience querying large, complex data sets
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Familiarity with a data visualization software package, e.g., Tableau
• Excellent knowledge of Excel including macros, pivot tables, vlookups, charts and graphs
• Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and to meet changing deadlines and priorities on multiple simultaneous projects
• Team player and self-starter with the ability to liaise with multiple teams and stakeholders
• B.A. or B.S. in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, and/or Engineering Sciences
• Passion for videogames with an emphasis in mobile games is highly preferred
