The Head of B2B Partnerships Marketing is responsible for strategically planning, managing and overseeing the end-to-end marketing campaigns and services for NRG institutional clients. S/he leads the day-to-day marketing activities for content marketing, custom publishing, author services and institutional partnerships (non-corporate) with eye toward solutions selling for commercial side of business (corporate).
Job Description:
• Partner with management, marketing, and sales teams to develop and implement marketing solutions including research, collateral, and campaigns to drive institutional partnerships and collaborative commercial opportunities
• Develop deep understanding of NRG Institutional Partnership product portfolio to support conception and delivery of NRG client-facing services
• Establish lead generation strategy, tactics and 360 understanding of customer journeys to optimize C-suite decision making process
• Work collaboratively with marketing teams and content marketing manager to develop engaging content to be used for B2B brand awareness, lead nurturing, proof of value, and industry thought leadership
• Establish KPIs and reporting, identify and close gaps, and instill a high sense of urgency for ROI reconciliation
• Collaborate with IP sales on RFPs and opportunities, providing market insight on products and services to generate winning and repeat business
• Understand and monitor new opportunities, trends, and competition in the scientific B2B marketplace, recommending action for opportunities for IP and collaborative commercial solutions
• Help develop and identify new products and pathways to market and to utilize/leverage existing assets to increase revenue
• Identify appropriate growth categories, helping craft a clear, convincing “pitch” for these categories/services
• Set budget goals and maintain YOY allocations and resources
• Strategically develop and audit gaps for up skilling/ training for team
• Direct and manage Institutional Partnership Advisory Board to inform qualitative research
• Working collaboratively across sales and marketing teams, strategically plan and maintain Institutional Partnership web presence, tools and CRM integrations
• Direct development and logistical execution of IP branded and partner events
Requirements:
• 7+ years of experience in B2B marketing working with sales account representatives and C-Suite Key Opinion Leaders
• Experience in B2B partnerships marketing/creating client-facing services (agency experience a +)
• Ability to manage and coordinate with global teams across multiple divisions
• Knowledge of content marketing techniques, strategies and tactics
• Understanding of CRM, marketing automation and lead generation tools
• Strong organizational and communications skills
• Strong teamwork and collaboration ethic
• Able to manage multiple clients (internal & external) and projects under tight concurrent deadlines
• Excellent communication skills – specifically how to distill issues, manage expectations, act as a trusted advisor and communicate in a timely manner under pressure
• React to problems proactively and display a solution-driven approach
• High level of professionalism in demeanor, attitude, communications, and experience
• Adept at using technological resources including MS Office and an aptitude for using survey tools
• Willingness to travel as needed (20%)
• Bachelor’s Degree in Market Research, Marketing, Statistics, Economics, Business or a related field
