DESCRIPTION:
The Social Media Coordinator should also be able to generate and upload quality entertainment, news, and sports content including written, audio and video content, create Photoshop graphic content for the web and help enhance website traffic and user activity. The Social Media Coordinator must possess excellent writing and proofing skills and is expected to post content on both web and social media platforms that is creative, concise, of excellent quality and free of typographical errors. This position will be responsible for sales content, local content, and national content. This role will focus and influence our Facebook, Snapchat, Instagram and LinkedIn accounts for WVEE, WZGC, and WAOK.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required:
Candidate will be responsible for executing digital sales on all social platforms.
Candidate should possess strong digital media acumen; knowledge of online trends and new web programs, social media platforms, online editorial content and select web-based marketing programs.
The ideal candidate will know how to monitor, "post to" and maintain social media accounts for CBS social media sites as directed, making sure CBS best practices are followed.
Identify great music stories for 3 different genres in the market to create viral content
Track effectiveness of - and develop new - social media strategies as the social media landscape changes. Hands-on execution of social media strategy during news events and will analyze for strengths/weaknesses. Educate staff in social media trends and successes within the industry and look for ways to adapt successes to our strategy. Motivate, educate and coach on-air talent and web contributors to develop creative web solutions to increase traffic and web-based sales packages. Candidate should be familiar with Social News Desk interface.
Create, edit, and maintain news and opinion content.
Implement and execute programming web initiatives. Plan and execute an effective strategic plan for station social networking sites
Regularly review market trends and innovations for new ideas and opportunities. Strong passion for social media and digital marketing
Deep interest in social data analysis and experience making data driven decisions Planning, developing, and executing successful customer acquisition strategies. Demonstrated experience using various social media platforms including Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, and LinkedIn. Must be a self-motivated thought-leader with a can-do attitude who can organize their work, innovate, and problem solve
