Responsibilities
The Commercial Supervising Producer commissions and manages outsourced production work for sold deals; working closely with the project/production management team. They are responsible for pre and post-sale in-house production work (mock-ups, sizzle-reels, case-study videos). This will be completed by themselves and the in-house international producer and intern headcount. They will ensure the work is delivered with high cost-efficiency and a consistent approach across both EMEA and APAC, to briefed KPIs.
Qualifications/Requirements
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
External:
• Help maintain and develop the preferred supplier list for outsourcing of creative projects (all creative production is outsourced for sold products so this is a key part of the role)
• Commissioning and managing the outsourced production partners (agencies, freelance individuals and teams), to deliver the required work to client and sales KPIs
• Partnership with the Production and Project Manager and Assistant to ensure delivery of all projects
• Manage projects to deadlines and budgets
Internal:
• Work to develop creative ideas for client proposals, working with the broader creative team and the front-line sales group
• Produce creative work for the pitch process that ensures the best possible conversion rate to sold deals
• Produce various creative work to showcase CNBC products that are being taken to market (i.e. WEF in Davos, or a new programme or feature strand, etc.)
◦ Sizzle reels
◦ Mock-up video to sit within mocked up digital environments (by the digital dir/mgr)
◦ Graphics / animations to demonstrate proposed content and to generally aid pitch storytelling
• Produce early stage mock-ups and mood-reels of proposed commercials to be produced by Catalyst if sold
• Create work to review a sold deal to demonstrate campaign success (i.e. case-study video, infographics, animations, etc.)
• Act as an emergency resource for production amendments (to work produced by outsourced individuals or agencies) to sold deals
REQUIREMENTS
• Strong track record of producing various creative work, particularly TV / video
• Experience working in television, digital and advertising
• Proven project and budget management is essential
• Ability to supervise the production of content through external resource
• Strong written, interpersonal and organisational skills
• Ability to work independently to meet project goals and deliver results
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Ability to prioritise workload
• Proven script writing skills, especially for B2B content
• Proficiency in Adobe After Effects, Avid Edit Suite, Adobe Photoshop and Cinema 4D.
• Fluent in English. Additional languages, particularly Mandarin fluency (in APAC), would be an advantage.
• Computer-literate (MS Office, and beyond).
