The director of publishing analytics is accountable for empowering internal business partners to maximize the use of data and analytics to improve our publishing and marketing efforts to deliver of the company’s competitive strategy. This is a leadership role requiring a passionate, experienced, self-driven, analytical, collaborative, and strategic leader.
In this role, you will have ownership of both the end-to-end development of solutions to complex questions and delivery of operational programs based those insights. You will partner with business leaders from different product marketing teams to help them understand and optimize their KPIs and business processes by bringing customer insights forward. Additionally, you will be responsible for creating the company vision on the use of data, analytics and insights within all of our go-to-market activities.
Responsibilities
• Lead and develop strategy for reporting, testing, analyzing, and forecasting for all marketing channels.
• Synthesize information from multiple internal and external sources to solve problems critical to the businesses future strategy and growth.
• Develop 1-1 personalization approach utilizing behavioral data.
• Execute testing and optimization plans for ongoing CRM campaigns.
• Provide clear insights to senior leadership around marketing effectiveness.
• Collaborate with individuals across a variety of internal departments to identify needs, define data requirements to determine the right analytical approaches to meet the needs of the organization.
• Oversee team throughout in-depth analytic assignments from data collection through to completion.
• Develop and report KPI metrics and dashboards
Requirements
• Proven ability to deliver results and impact.
• Advanced degree in relevant field.
• A minimum of 10 years of direct experience with marketing analytics and leveraging customer behavioral data to deliver business results.
• Successful record of building and mentoring high-performing analytical teams.
• Experience with large individual customer behavioral data sets (gaming, retail, financial services) and expertise in communication channel best practices.
• Strong background in machine learning, hypothesis testing, regression analysis, statistics, and other advanced analytical methods, as well as experience creating predictive analytics on Customer/Household level data.
• Hands-on technical experience with conceptualizing large scale data solutions, such as --- Hadoop, Teradata, Redshift, etc….
• Experience with statistical software packages (such as SAS, R, etc…), and / or applications for data visualization and reporting to end users (such as Business Objects, Qlik or Tableau)
• A deep and broad understanding of core and emerging analytics methods and approaches and how they can be deployed to drive value within and across client organizations.
