Job Description/Tasks:
Understand Network Engineering, delivery, standards, protocols, terminology and hardware platforms
Interact with both internal EA customers and infrastructure service providers to oversee and manage day-to-day service delivery
Assist in troubleshooting and problem resolution for the Enterprise Network (day-to-day operations): WAN, LAN, WLAN incident resolution
Assist in IMACs (installs, moves, adds, changes, etc.), as needed, to keep the network up and operational
Assist in testing new technologies
Work with various technical teams, including 3rd party vendors, to troubleshoot, define, implement and monitor network solutions
Required Skills:
Desired candidates will be currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program related to Computer Science, Information Systems or other related field of study.
Desired candidates have a minimum of a Junior standing by January 2015, but not yet graduated.
Ability and desire to contribute creative ideas to solve technical and business problems
Strong communication skills (written, oral, and listening); able to effectively share information and influence others to act
Positive attitude, enthusiastic, and drive to perform
Works well in a changing environment; able to function independently and adapt readily to multiple assignments, deadlines, and changing priorities
Ability to work effectively on a team - committed to improve team dynamics, communications, and performance
Preferred experience or desire to work with networking technologies (WAN/LAN/WLAN/Etc.)—primarily Cisco technologies
